Mobile Veterinary Clinic Van: Cattle Healthcare Services Project

To address the lack of accessible veterinary care in remote parts of Palghar, BGM Foundation, in collaboration with Shreemad Rajchandra Jivdaya Trust, launched a Mobile Veterinary Clinic Van initiative. The van is equipped with essential diagnostic tools, medicines, and a trained veterinary team, offering preventive and emergency services directly at farmers’ doorsteps.

Operating across 30 villages in Talasari, Dahanu, Palghar, and Wada, the mobile unit delivers treatments including deworming, vaccinations, and on-the-spot interventions. The service benefits over 500 cattle and supports the livelihood security of nearly 300 cattle-rearing families in its initial phase.
The presence of an on-board veterinary doctor, a paravet, and a dedicated admin assistant ensures both professionalism and continuity of care. Community camps have also been organised to build awareness around livestock nutrition, hygiene, and first-aid practices.
The project is being closely monitored through logbooks, photo documentation, and stakeholder feedback. Future plans include training local paravets to sustain services, expanding coverage to 40 villages, and integrating the clinic with BGM’s Experience Centre to create a holistic cattle welfare and education platform.
